Writer's Block: Where in the World... @ 03:18 pm

If you were independently wealthy, where in the world would you live and how would you spend your time?

I would live in the south of France; the place where Anakin and Padma were married and the last scene of Casino Royale. I would watch movies and shop continuously. I would not write because you can see I can't write to save my life.

Tell me what you think of season three of Lost @ 11:06 am

Current Location: home
Current Mood: good good

Personally, I am sick of hearing how bad this show has gotten. I don't understand where these people are coming from. To me, this show has not changed much from season to season. I think it's just as good as it has always been. Let me know what you think.

It's really neat. I have my own blog. I can upload my images to their album. Pretty cool.
How I Met Your Mother is on. It's my new favorite sitcom. The Class is horrible. Heroes is on in a little bit. Can't wait.

Beach Trip @ 08:51 am

Current Location: home sweet home
Current Mood: busy busy
Current Music: Jay and Jack

On Wednesday, after the completion if my FIRST root canal, I headed to the mall to buy Big Ed something for his birthday. It's not until next week, but I wanted him to have the Jimmy Buffet box set to listen to driving down. His cousin got this for her birthday last month and he was admiring it. The music really got us into the beach mood and I had cravings for margaritas the whole trip.
We got down to Destin and got into our room about 11:00pm. The room was nice at the Huntington by the Sea. The pool was a mess though. I specifically asked if the pool would be ready and I was told it was ready. It wasn't. That's ok. We have a pool at home, we came for the beach, not the pool.
It rained all morning. We got out to the beach about noon. I listened to my mp3 player, Morgan played in the sand, and Big Ed fished. Morgan got to catch a yellow-fin. Next year we need to bring a small rod for her. We got to watch a pod of dophins swim by.
We were all ready to leave to go out to eat and a couple were knocking on the door. It was the owners of the condo. They had it booked for the whole week, and didn't make it until Thursday because she had tests and found out she had cancer and ms, and had just had rotator-cuff surgery. They had their dog and could only stay in their condo. We didn't mind if the agency placed us in another room. We got an upgrade. We were put in a condo next door that was super nice. We didn't want to leave the room it was so nice.
Friday, the beach at the new place was too crowded. We could hear the conversations of the people next to us. Some old folks next to us had their radio too loud. When the man got in the water and the lady went in to their room, the girls on the other side of them turned the radio toward us. So, Big Ed walked over and turned the radio down. I was embarrassed. He also talked to the attendant/lifeguard about reserving the chairs on the outside the next day so we could have some privacy. He tipped him $20. I was embarrassed, but it worked. We had a great spot the next day. The only problem, it rained. We did see a sting ray and a shark.
I'm going to predict that there will be a shark attack in the Gulf of Mexico soon. The man that kicked us out of his condo said there was a 12 foot shark spotted.
Friday night, we finally got to see Ricky Bobby. It was great. We all loved it. Especially the part with the cougar.
Since it rained Saturday, we stayed in and Big Ed watched football, Morgan watched cartoons, and I watched Michael J Fox THS on E!.

Just three more days @ 07:56 am

Current Location: home
Current Mood: sleepy sleepy

Walmart sent an email yesterday to tell me that my season two DVDs have been shipped. Since I'm Alias'ed out now, I think I will rewatch season one before two gets here.
Baby Cakes, my husband and I are going to the beach on Wednesday. He talked to her principal about approving her absence so she can make up her work. Another instance that home-schooling may be the best thing. Why should it be such a big deal for her to miss two days of school?
Thanks, everyone, for the sympathy with the root canal. I called in sick to work, took two darvocets, and passed out. I woke the next morning without pain. I will let the dentist know that I cursed his name that night.
